1. I think the most powerful image is "Down and Dirty"  encase it displays that in a tie off need you turn to someone and in this case it was God.
2. The images allow the reader to visualize what the people in the story is going though.
3. They tell about thing that you can infer from the picture but art in the picture allowing the reader to have a fiscal image and a mental image.
